EDPM RUBBER ROOFS
Because it holds up so well in the UK’s erratic weather conditions, our EPDM roofing employs an incredibly resilient synthetic rubber roofing membrane that is used extensively throughout the world. In the last 10 to 15 years, it has found its way over to the UK. Ethylene and propylene, its two main components, are obtained from oil and natural gas, respectively.
Because we are aware that some of our clients may find all of this to be a bit too scientific, we take the time to go through everything with you before the job begins so that you have all of the pertinent information.
Typically, EPDM roofing comes in one seamless sheet that is custom-sized for your roof. It is available in a wide range of widths and thicknesses and is available in black. Any seams of the EPDM roofing system should be sealed with liquid adhesives or specially developed tape. EPDM flat roofing can be installed fully adherent (glued), mechanically fastened (screwed), or ballasted (weighted down with stones). Only fully trained and Firestone approved contractors should do this technique because it requires a great deal of specialisation.
We think that the quality of our work and the final output must be flawless. Our crew is quite proud of it, and it keeps you all coming back whenever you have more needs! If you want an EPDM flat roof installed, go with SMR Contractors.
